From Fr. Bryan Dolejsi: "I am very thankful to our principal Elizabeth Bozzo for her time and leadership this year at St. Anthony. She has accomplished a great deal in a short amount of time in helping us move forward in a positive direction during a time of transition. After prayer and discernment, Elizabeth has discerned to step away from serving as a principal and explore other ways she might want to be involved in education while focusing on her own family. Her energy, faith, vision and professionalism will be missed. Please help me by offering our gratitude to her for her efforts this year.

Given the timing of this transition and after my own prayer and consultation I have decided to appoint Daniel Mullen, our current vice principal, as our interim principal for the next school year. He is very willing and excited to serve in this capacity. Daniel knows our school community well and has four years of experience serving as a principal in north Seattle. He will have my full support and involvement this coming year, as we continue to move forward as a school community."

Due to the demand in our school and parish community, we are excited to announce we are embarking on the process of licensing our Pre-Kindergarten so we can offer a full-day program starting in Fall 2025. This is a historic development in our nearly 100-year legacy of Catholic education. To the many prospective parents who have asked for this - we hear you!

Next Steps: We recently met with the Archdiocesan representative who oversees early childhood programs and a representative of the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) that licenses child care programs. Our next steps are to move forward with applying to become an officially licensed Pre-K so that we can offer full-day Pre-K as well as BASS (Before/After School Supervision) for 4-year-olds.

We fully anticipate and are hopeful we’ll be ready to welcome in our newest class of Roadrunners for full-day Pre-K in Fall 2025!

After more than a year of careful planning and consultation, the final parish families for the Archdiocese of Seattle were announced February 3, 2024. The parish families will go into effect on July 1st under the leadership of a pastor and one or more parochial vicars. Pastors and parochial vicars will be announced this spring. As a result of this process, St. Anthony Parish and St. Stephen the Martyr will become part of the same parish family.
