Welcome! My name is Carey Riggio and I am the Learning Services Coordinator. This is my 19th year at St. Anthony School.
The goal of Learning Services is to ensure that the school meets the needs of all of our students academically. We use a standardized assessment called the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) to measure students’ growth every year. Based on (MAP) results, teachers are able to adjust their instruction to meet the needs of the whole class as well as individual students.
St. Anthony School provides additional academic testing in partnership with the local public school districts to offer services for students with learning disabilities or those who need additional support. We also work with the public schools to provides Title 1 tutoring in reading and math for first through eighth graders. Additionally, we support our K-2 classes with reading intervention groups to ensure that all students have a solid foundation in phonics and beginning reading skills.
