I am so excited to start teaching at Saint Anthony's this year! This will be my first year teaching middle school math, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I graduated from Gonzaga University in 2022 with my secondary teaching credential. During my time as a student at GU, I also worked as a math tutor for students throughout the Spokane area. I can't wait to put my skills to practice with the amazing students at Saint Anthony's! My favorite thing about teaching math is seeing the magic moment when a new concept makes sense to a student (the "aha" moment!). I currently live in Snoqualmie and love to explore new hiking trails, or relax with a good book, in my free time.
Favorite Bible Verse:
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6:

8A Homeroom - 7th/8th Social Studies - phone: Ext. 6183
Director of Athletics Welcome to 7th and 8th grade Social Studies! I am thrilled to be working with your child for this exciting new school year. This is my 19th year teaching in Catholic schools. I am a University of Washington graduate, with my B.A. in History and I received my Masters in Teaching from Western Washington University. Teaching at a Catholic school has been quite fulfilling; it has brought me closer to my faith, but more importantly, it has provided me an opportunity to teach and mentor students in a faith-filled and high academic environment. It is my hope that students who graduate from St. Anthony School leave with solid Catholic values, become critical thinkers, and are ready to make the world a better place. I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, attending UW Husky athletic events, and being with family and friends.
Favorite Bible Verse: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy) |

Welcome to seventh and eighth Grade ELA (and 8B Religion!)! I'm thrilled to be starting my fifth year at St. Anthony School. In 1996 I earned my BA in History from Eastern Washington University (Go Eagles!). After a time working in retail and for the government, I earned my MA in Education at Pacific Lutheran University; I've also completed some post-graduate work for Educational Administration at Western Washington University. This will be my 18th year in Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Seattle. My favorite thing about teaching middle schoolers is the feeling of collaboration between teacher and student to learn new things. My husband and I enjoy trying new restaurants and my sister and I have season tickets to the Seattle Sounders.
Favorite Bible Verse:
"You have been told, O mortal, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you: To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8

Welcome to Jr. High! I'm delighted to start my 3rd year teaching at St Anthony School. I received my Master's in Secondary Science from Western Governors University along with a Bachelor's in Forestry and Environmental Science from the University of Washington. I previously taught physics at Orting High School, along with Earth and Space Science at Cascade Christian Jr. High in Puyallup. I love sharing the details and mysteries of science with all of my students and love planting the seed of science inquiry in each of them. I live with my husband and sixth-grade daughter in Bonney Lake. I enjoy running marathons and walking my German Shepherd in my spare time.
Favorite Bible Verse:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
