In Pre-K through second grade, students learn the elements of art: line, shape, form, value, color, texture, and space. Grades three through eight will incorporate the elements of art into different subjects: observational drawing, mark-making, still life, landscape, cityscape, portrait and figure drawing. All levels will experiment in drawing, painting, sculpture, fiber arts and printmaking while taking inspiration from modern artists and cultures.

About Mrs. Clinard, Art Teacher:
Welcome to Art with Mrs. Clinard! I am excited to be in my third year at St. Anthony School, teaching PreK through 8th grade! I received a B.A. in Design from Louisiana State University and am a professional artist, specializing in portraits. This is my 12th year teaching art and I feel so lucky that I get to come to work and make art with children every day! I LOVE teaching and sharing my passion of all things art with my students. Sometimes we make messes, sometimes we make mistakes, but it's all part of learning. The students know in this classroom, they are the artist!
Favorite Bible Verse: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:37)
